IGIP Special Session on Engineering Education

About the IGIP Special Session

IGIP (the International Society for Engineering Pedagogy) has more than 50 years of tradition in contributing to engineering pedagogy. IGIP's members and activists have contributed to making IGIP a leading global engineering association. They are present worldwide via their membership network of individuals, affiliates and institutions as well as local branches represented by academics in the field of Engineering Pedagogy. More than 1,500 professionals all over the globe carry the title of "IGIP International Engineering Educator-Ing.Paed.IGIP"

The IGIP Special Session at The Learning Ideas Conference 2025 will be the 2nd year of the IGIP Special Session at the conference. Academic researchers, professionals, and practitioners are invited to submit a proposal to report their ideas, models, designs and experiences in engineering education.

IGIP Special Session - Call for Proposals

Proposal submission is open to both members and non-members of IGIP. To submit a proposal, use our proposal submission form. Abstracts should be 150-300 words. As with main conference sessions, presentations of accepted proposals may be in-person in New York or done remotely. Any topic relating to engineering education is potentially appropriate for a proposal submission to the IGIP Special Session. Proposals are due on December 9, 2024. To ensure that your proposal is considered for the IGIP Special Session, please select “Yes” to the “Is this submission for the IGIP Special Session?” question on your proposal submission form.

Presenters with accepted papers will have their papers published in the proceedings of The Learning Ideas Conference 2025, which will be published as a book/ebook by Springer and submitted to SCOPUS and other major indexing systems. Please note that writing a paper for the conference proceedings is not required for accepted presenters at The Learning Ideas Conference, including presentations in the IGIP Special Session.
